How does the main menu on the tablet function?

Options (top left corner) allows the driver to perform tasks such as requesting logs, adding pre- or post-shift time, taking an exception, or checking the system diagnostics.

An orange flag on this button indicates that there are logs requiring review. A red flag indicates missing data that must be entered manually.
  1. Request Logs allows the driver to request logs from the website to review edits made by an admin.
  2. Pre- and Post-Shift allows the driver to add on duty time.
  3. Take Exception allows certain drivers to claim an exemption from the hours of service rule. (See the video for details on these exemptions.)
  4. Diagnostics allows the driver to view identification information about the device, as well as a general system health check.
  5. Tap Review Logs to review proposed edits.
Roadside Inspection allows law enforcement to review a driver's logs. The driver can also send logs electronically to law enforcement.
